As from tomorrow (2nd June 2024), there are some small changes to train times at Melksham Station.
* The first morning train on weekdays will leave a couple of minutes earlier to allow it to provide a good connection at Trowbridge to Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads, where arrival will be 20 minutes earlier at 07:28
* The Saturday train at 09:10 will run through to Weymouth for the summer, returning as a through train at 19:32. Day return fare £22.60 before railcard, groupsave and child discounts.
Melksham station is a (signposted) 10 minute walk from the Town Bridge, and there is car parking available at the station run by Wiltshire Council. There are also spaces to allow passengers to be dropped off and picked up. There is a help point and ticket machine at the station, and if you are unable to purchase the ticket you need from the machine (for example if you wish to pay in cash) you can pay the train manager.
Melksham station and all trains that call are wheelchair friendly and have accessible toilet faciities on board. The other stations on the line (Westbury, Trowbridge, Chippenham and Swindon) are also wheelchair friendly.
There are over 2500 stations in Great Britain, and by changing trains you can reach almost all of them from Melksham. Through tickets are available. Please enquire for details (not "official", but if you don't know who to ask I can point you in the right direction for route and fare information).
