06:35 Salisbury to Worcester Foregate Street due 09:47

Facilities on the 06:35 Salisbury to Worcester Foregate Street due 09:47.
This is due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time.
Will be formed of 3 coaches instead of 2.

Good - really should be 3 between Swindon and Gloucester anyway ...

BBQ season has arrived on the Transwilts and elsewhere it would seem looking at the map.

Indeed - nothing northbound between 10:46 and 16:42, and southbound between 11:42 and 17:44.  Makes it very hard to promote the service locally.

Silly question. Over the past couple of years, we have got used to industrial action effecting us on certain days, and staff will be used to it as well, working extra overtime and Sunday shifts to make up the total pay packet.  With a hiatus in ASLEF» (Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen - about) action because of the upcoming election, and with the RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers) action settled, are we now seeing a reluctance of rail staff to work extra shifts on normal days and rather than knowing which days the service will be curtailed, we are seeing it less reliable with some services cancelled on many more days.

Also to note the first train from Warminster via Westbury only got as far as Chippenham (40 minutes late) with the return service leaving there five minutes late.

These were a number of services disrupted this morning due to over-running engineering work.  The possession started late because an evening service was held up for an hour while police dealt with an incident.

11:42 Swindon to Weymouth due 14:01

11:42 Swindon to Weymouth due 14:01 will be starting late from Swindon.
This is due to the train departing late to maintain customer connections.
Will be formed of 2 coaches instead of 3.

I'm having trouble keeping up today!

This one is a much tinier change than the raft of cancellations although 27 minutes late (the incoming train was early, so not a knock on) is substantial and I can't see what incoming service was late by anything like that. It will be interesting to see how it does south of Castle Cary.
