Car transporter hit the bridge at Yarnbrook.  Reports suggest two of the vehicles it was carrying fell off.

22:30 Swindon to Westbury due 23:11 will be starting late from Swindon.

06:35 Salisbury to Worcester Foregate Street due 09:47

06:35 Salisbury to Worcester Foregate Street due 09:47 will call additionally at Dilton Marsh.
This is due to the train making extra stops because of service disruption.

In my view, it should call there anyway - or at least that should be seriously considered for this train.  Case [to be / could re] made.

On time at Warminster, but 1 minute late into Westbury.  Reading more into Real Time Trains than perhaps I should, it looks like it took 4 minutes from Dilton Marsh into Westbury, which would suggest a signal check or stop, and I noted that the Cardiff train was still in platform 3 at Westbury rather later than it should have been which could explain a signal check. On today's experience, worked OK operatioanally - in fact wouldn't it be better to have it stopped at the Dilton Marsh platform than at a signal?

Good call ... typically evening trains starting westbound at Swindon should await their moderately late incoming connections from London.  Of course, even better would be London trains on time.

Given the size of the populations, what would be useful would be some strategically timed services from Paddington / Swindon / Chippenham / Trowbridge / Westbury / Frome and vice versa.

There is sense in Westbury - Paddington hourly, alternate via Melksham and via Newbury.  Onward from Westbury via Frome, Yeovil and Dorchester to Weymouth.  Connection at Castle Cary into the London - Reading - Castle Cary - Taunton - and so to Penzance service.  Service via Melksham to detach / attach Gloucester and Cheltenham portion at Swindon.

This is due to a points failure.

Not an accidental double or triple post - third time in the week!
