A year ago today (6 Feb 2021), I added the "Document Archive" to the Coffee Shop - a sort of self defence to the transient nature of websites.  I've stored copies of all sort of base material, a as .pdf file in each case.

There are - a year on - 1814 searchable .pdf files there, of which 950 are also indexed (that menas they come up with a subject and date when they match). 105 of the documents are whitelisted (guests as well as members can read then); most of the rest are available to any logged in member.

5,320 .pdf files have been server, and 4,126 requests denied.  There have been 11,470 searches - though they also take people to matching forum threads and stations names, so many of these searches don't result in archive document access. For the amount of work put into getting this data together, those numbers look very thin, and indeed they are.  I'm not too worried because the resource is something of a safety net of files which should grow over the years - more like growing an oak tree than a crocus, and hopefully with a longevity to match.

Examples to find documents - use the "Deep Search" box above.
Try "Portishead" - ((here))
Try "Keynsham*Waterloo" - ((here))
Try "Volo" - ((here)) (Not totally clever that one - as frivolous includes v-o-l-o !)

A further year on - 2095 files of which 1023 are indexed, with 122 whitelisted.   Usage of the archive remains limited (but then it's an archive and the intent is that it's there in perpetuity to answer occasional questions)
