Quoting from a public thread about Uckfield ....

Quote
Under the terms of the agreement with Southern Railway the leaflets must only be given out at the stations. They must NOT be given out on board a train.

(My highlighting).  That aspect seems rather unusual, making it difficult to reach as many rail users as possible for the purpose of this survey?

I am not aware of the background of this story, but I do note that CRPs (Community Rail Partnership) in the GWR (Great Western Railway) area have an excellent relationship with the company for the most part, and where that odd little glitch happens we just pinch ourselves to remember (a) how it use to be and (b) what we hear on certain of our wider travels!

Yes, I thought that was a rather odd restriction to be applied. I can't remember any such limitations being placed on the Severnside CRP (Community Rail Partnership), for example.  Undecided

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.
